I've been hard at work for the past couple of weeks on a whole truck load of stuff that I can't share (but is soooo exciting!), so I thought I'd post a quick update with a couple of book recommendations. I picked these up on Amazon after a few of my course mates mentioned them, and have got to say they're great. The Tom Bancroft character design books Character Mentor and Creating Characters with Personality are the best books (heck, the only books!) I've read on the character design process, and James Gurney's Imaginative Realism is just a brilliantly rounded book on painting. All are much more thoughtful and engaging that you're average 'how to draw' book, and definitely worth the money. Still making my way through Loomis' Creative Illustration which arrived a while back... it's VERY dense read!
Right, that's it for now... back to the sketchbook! :-)
